One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO. / PA.", circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-squared rim, decorated with a stylized stenciled sunburst, freehand stripes, and stenciled flourishes flanking a bold-faced "1 1/2" at base. Essentially as-made condition with several large in-the-firing base chips.
