Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ELIZ-TOWN N.J.", Keen Pruden, Elizabethtown, NJ, circa 1832, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed tulip flanked by dashes. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Cobalt squiggle to shoulder on reverse. Small shallow base chips. Some water glass staining to exterior and heavier water glass staining to interior. A 1 1/4" flake to underside at bottom edge of jar.
