Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Milkpan, Stamped "E BISSETT / WASHINGTON", New Jersey origin, circa 1830, ovoid form with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and pinched pouring spout. Cobalt highlights to the maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. Exfoliation to left side of milkpan. Some additional flaking to interior base. Heavy chipping to rim. A 5 1/2" crack from rim on right of spout. Two chips to end of one handle and light wear to opposite end of same handle.
