Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, attributed to the Morgan / van Wickle Pottery, Old Bridge, NJ, circa 1825, approximately two-gallon ovoid jug with tooled spout and heavily-ribbed handle, decorated with incised design of heavily-veined leaves flanking a flower blossom or seed cluster. Incised decoration relates to sherds excavated at the Morgan / van Wickle Pottery of Old Bridge, NJ. Provenance: Stella Fascinski Sale, Keansburg, NJ. Excellent, as-made condition with a series of in-the-firing contact marks on reverse.
