Six-Quart Stoneware Syrup Jug with Stroudsburg, PA Advertising, attributed to the Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, late 19th century, squat-shaped jug with flared pouring spout and Bristol-slip-glazed surface, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "Jos. Wallace & Sons. / Stroudsburg, / Pa." Blistering to glaze on left side of jug. A tiny rim chip with very short lines emanating from it. A tiny glaze nick to spout and other very minor rim wear. A small in-the-firing iron ping to front. A few very short surface lines to base on reverse, likely in-the-firing. Two small in-the-firing fissures to underside. Some black and brown residue to surface. H 10 3/4".
