Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stamped "J.D. CRAVEN", Moore County, NC origin, late 19th century, skillfully-potted, cylindrical jug with flared spout and applied strap handle, impressed near the base of the handle with a "JD. CRAVEN" maker's mark above a two-gallon capacity stamp. Appealing slender form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor base wear. H 16 1/2".
