Yellowware Washboard, National Washboard Co., Chicago, Saginaw, and Memphis, late 19th century, the washboard composed of yellow clay with mottled brown glaze and basket weave pattern, fitted in its original wooden frame, the frame marked "National Washboard Co. / CHICAGO SAGINAW MEMPHIS". Additional partially illegible mark on front of frame reads "WHITE". A 6 3/4" long stain on reverse of board. A 2 1/4" filled chip to edge on reverse of board. Dimensions (of frame): 24 3/8" x 12".
