Two Pieces of Cowden Stoneware, Harrisburg, PA origin, circa 1865-1880, a one-gallon jug with cobalt tulip decoration, stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG", paired with a two-gallon jar with decorated of a tulip extending from a heavily-leafed stem, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA". F.H. Cowden jug with staining, in otherwise excellent condition. Cowden & Wilcox jar with significant damage, including exfoliation to side and reverse, large rim chips, handle chips, and a short crack from rim on front and reverse.
