One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with New York City Advertising, New York State origin, circa 1840, ovoid jug with tooled spout and applied handle, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising "FROM H. SCHIEFFELIN & CO / DRUGGISTS / 88 MAIDEN LANE / NEW YORK". Excellent condition with a small base chip, minor base wear, and a faint 3/4" line in lower handle terminal.
