Two Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, Huntington, Long Island, New York, circa 1807-1860, both with coggled edges, the interiors decorated in yellow slip with impressed geometric designs. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Smaller plate broken into two pieces and reglued, with four colored rim chips, two other small rim chips, and two scratches to surface. Larger plate broken into two pieces and reglued, with two large reglued flakes at one end of crack, a chip to underside, and two minor edge chips. Diameter (of larger plate) 11".
