Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO / PARKERSBURG, W.V.," circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tall collar, pronounced semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling below a stenciled "6" within a geometric border. Interesting fingerprints on interior rim area, created when the jar's interior was coated in Albany slip. A 2 1/2" Y-shaped surface line on reverse shoulder, not visible on interior. Some light scattered exfoliation to underside. A 2" long in-the-firing vertical separation on interior rim, not visible on exterior.
