Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. WEAVER," Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, nicely-potted ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, tall collar with pronounced rim, and large lug handles, decorated with a brushed vine bearing three tulip or fuchsia blossoms, applied over slip-washed clay. Brushed cobalt highlights to the handle terminals. Excellent condition with a tiny chip to the end of one handle.
