Two-Gallon Stoneware Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cream Jar, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / MANUFACTURER / BEST BLUE / STONE-WARE. / GREENSBORO. / PA.," circa 1880, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring desirable T.F. Reppert "BEST BLUE STONE-WARE" maker's stenciling between freehand stripes and a freehand "2" with flourishes at base. J-shaped hairline extending from rim to shoulder on far left side of jar's front. Otherwise excellent condition.
