One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BROWN & BROS / HUNTINGTON. L.I," circa 1863-1870, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and thin rim, decorated with a brushed tulip emanating from two rows of swags. Good form. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. Essentially as-made condition with a slightly misshapen base and a few minor in-the-firing pings to surface.
