Rare One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "J.B. LEATHERS / MT. EAGLE, PA," circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with two brushed leaves or tulip blossoms on the front. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very large reglued section on front/side of jar, extending onto underside.piece to front at base. A 2 1/4" rim chip.
