Magnificent Redware Loaf Dish with Elaborate Lead and Copper Slip Decoration, New England origin, circa 1820-1840, large-sized loaf dish with finely-coggled edge, the interior exuberantly decorated in yellow slip with wave-like trails flanking three circular trails, all with green copper accents throughout. Wonderful color and outstanding decoration. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example from a forty-year Pennsylvania antiques collection. Surface flakes. Chips and wear to edge.
