Rare Green-Glazed New England Redware Jug, Bristol County, MA origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled spout, and ribbed strap handle, the surface covered in a streaky green copper glaze accented with flecks of iron. Exceptional color. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example from a forty-year Mid-Atlantic antiques collection. Old crude repair to much of spout. Base chip. Glazed surface survives in outstanding condition with minimal wear. H 11".
