Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "O.L. & A.K. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT.," circa 1870, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed stem bearing three large stylized blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent color. In-the-making, glazed-over dent at base. Shallow chipping to spout.
