Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK, JR / ATHENS, NY," circa 1860, slender, semi-ovoid jug with rounded spout, decorated with a brushed flowering plant design bearing two blossoms. Circular cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Excellent condition with a small worn spot to one flower tip and a lightly-stained spot on right side of jug.
