Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Stamped “E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT,” circa 1870, a cylindrical three-gallon jug with spotted cobalt foliate design, paired with a four-gallon crock with a similar motif. Jug with thin 5 1/4” crack descending from spout, short hairlines in spout, some in-the-firing crazing to shoulder, and some short in-the-firing surface lines to base. Crock in excellent condition with some staining and a minor iron ping on reverse.
