Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a stylized slip-trailed floral design, featuring two central blossoms surrounded by leaves and dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Faintness to right side of "BENNINGTON, VT" section of maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
