Scarce Small-Sized Redware Jar with Dipped Slip Decoration, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and flared rim, featuring a dipped cream-colored slip, applied over colorful greenish clay with orange spotting. Very nice condition. A minor, shallow rim chip and other typical rim wear. Minor base wear. Some light staining. H 5 1/2".
