Westerwald Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Incised Decoration, German origin, 17th or 18th century, highly-ovoid jug with tall neck and applied handle, the neck with additional tooled treatment and rounded spout. Body decorated with three finely-incised stylized floral designs below a series of impressed circles. Cobalt highlights throughout. Inscribed "3" in cobalt on reverse. Small in-the-firing chip to side of neck. Neck is slightly leaning. H 10 1/2".
