Two-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY POTTERY," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a ring-necked bird perched atop a leaf. Includes salt-glazed lid, probably not original to the jar. Jar in excellent condition with a minor handle chip. Lid with small knob chips and a small iron ping near edge.
