Six-Quart Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Ellenville or Poughkeepsie, NY origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a crested bird perched on a stylized leaf or branch. 6 1/2" Y-shaped crack on side of crock, part of which extends onto underside as a very thin line. Some staining. Rim chip on reverse.
