Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Impressed Floral Medallion, Old Bridge, NJ origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, footed base, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an impressed oval design with four-petaled flower surrounded by a scalloped line design. Cobalt highlights to impressed marks and handle terminals. Heavy chipping to base. Otherwise excellent condition with some light paint residue to surface.
