Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Rooster Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA," New York State origin, circa 1865, cylindrical crock with lug handles, decorated with a heavily slip-trailed design of a rooster with turned head and large tail, standing atop a stylized ground with shrubs. Fry to cobalt, primarily at base. A few chips to one handle. A nick and 1/2" line to opposite handle. Two rim chips. Two minor base chips.
