Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid jug with tall spout, the surface covered in whitish slip and decorated with a boldly-brushed fuchsia vine design. Some fry to cobalt. 2 3/8" contact mark to side of jug. Two horizontal hairlines at base of handle.
