Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, American, possibly Norwalk, CT, circa 1840, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with a large looping stripe of yellow slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a long-term Midwestern collection. Several rim chips. Some flakes to slip on interior. Diameter 10 1/4".
