Glazed Redware Jar with Coggled Decoration, probably Pennsylvania origin, 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base and unusual collar accented with two coggled moldings. Exterior decorated with vertical sponged manganese stripes. Interior rim area with additional manganese sponging. Heavy chipping to base. Wear to collar, including a band of wear at base of collar. Other light wear to surface. H 7 3/4".
