Six-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BURGER BROS & CO. / ROCHESTER N.Y.," circa 1870, ovoid churn with applied lug handles and tooling to shoulder and rim, the front decorated with a slip-trailed flowering plant with heavily-detailed petals. Includes an Albany-slip-glazed lid, impressed "5". Some painted touch-up to leaves at base of decoration. Several restored cracks, including restoration on underside. Two chips and wear to lid.
