Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a boldly-slip-trailed design of a parrot with heavily-shaded front, perched on a large leaf. Excellent color. Excellent condition with a colored 3/4" chip on interior of rim and a minor in-the-firing surface nick on side of crock.
