Stoneware Spittoon with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, possibly Newville, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, with coved sides and carved circular opening at shoulder, the base decorated with two brushed cobalt stripes. Chip to hole on top surface. Minor base chip. Shallow glazed-over base chip. H 4" ; Diameter 8 1/4".
