Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, the front decorated with a nicely-rendered floral design of a daisy and three flower buds extending from a leafy stem. Brownish-colored in-the-firing residue front. Staining to jug. In-the-firing contact mark at base on reverse, as well as on handle. Salt drip on side of jug.
