Rare Lead and Manganese Glazed Redware Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO," circa 1860, molded, octagonal pitcher with tall spout and ornate handle, decorated with sponged manganese over a yellowish clay body and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside. Excellent color and desirable form. Light wear to rim and handle. Base chip. Height to top of handle 9 1/2".
