Rare Half-Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / MANUFACTURERS / GREENSBORO. PA," circa 1875, small-sized, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling in a circular pattern. Unusually small size. Shallow 1 1/8" glazed-over base chip. Tight spidering line on underside with an additional line extending from it 3" onto reverse side of crock. H 5" ; Diameter 6 3/8".
