Half-Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with scroll-shaped James Hamilton maker's stenciling surrounding a stenciled leaf. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
