Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO. PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with various stenciled floral designs and freehand stripes. Small chip to end of one handle. In-the-firing flaw at bottom edge on reverse. Faint 2 1/2" Y-shaped surface line under one handle. Faint 3 1/4" surface line on front. 7" vertical hairline to left of decoration.
