One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base, the midsection decorated with a series of five brushed clovers. Collar decorated with additional brushed clovers and spout decorated with cobalt dashes. Excellent color. Y-shaped hairline extending across underside and onto base, where it forms a long horizontal line. Small inverted U-shaped surface line on exterior of spout.
