One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, ovoid pitcher with rounded foot and nicely-tooled rim, the front decorated with a hanging tulip flanked by swags. Collar and spout additionally decorated with swags. Two restored rim chips and one restored spout chip. A small stone ping to spout. Hairline extending across underside 3 1/2" up one side and 4 1/2" up opposite side. An additional sealed 7 1/2" crack at base and a 1 3/4" hairline at base. A very minor base chip and an in-the-firing chip to edge of underside.
