Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, probably New Jersey origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a large cobalt grapes cluster hanging from a heavily-leafed branch. Reverse inscribed "1." in cobalt. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
