Lidded Redware Jar with Slip Decoration, American, early 19th century, ovoid jar with open strap handles and original domed lid, the surface covered in a heavy yellow slip and covered in a clear lead glaze. Several small glaze flakes to jar. 1 3/4" hairline from rim. A few minor base chips. Wear to rim. Wear to one handle. Glazed flakes to lid. Chips to lid, primarily on underside. H 7 1/4".
