Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Coggled Bird Decoration, attributed to the Morgan / Van Wickle Pottery, Old Bridge, NJ, early 19th century, quart-sized, ovoid jug with tooled neck and rounded spout, decorated with coggled and cobalt-highlighted design of a bird holding a leaf in its beak. Desirable and unusual size. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a few in-the-firing contact marks. H 7 3/4".
