Yellowware Washboard, American, fourth quarter 19th century, with raised diamond pattern and mottled cobalt decoration over a yellow ground, in original wooden frame. Frame marked on reverse "No 139" image of a hatted gentleman and child. Chip to edge of washboard. Loss to edge of wooden frame. Crack in wood of horizontal support piece at base of frame. Three vertical wooden slats on reverse of washboard possibly missing. Dimensions (including frame): 23 5/8" x 12 1/4".
