Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Harvest Jug with Lizard Handle, Midwestern origin, late 19th century, ovoid form with wide and narrow pouring spouts, the handle in the form of a lizard with applied back legs and large forked tail curling around the body of the vessel. Surface covered in a reddish-brown slip. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, recently found in Indiana. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/4".
