Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a flowering plant featuring a central blossom flanked by two buds. Some light staining to surface. Hairlines on underside, one of which extends 1" onto base of jug. A contact mark to top of handle. A shallow 1 1/4" chip to edge of underside.
