One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a stylized brushed cobalt flower extending from a leafy stem. Tiny nick on reverse of rim. Some fry to cobalt. Otherwise excellent condition.
