One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING, PA," circa 1875, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed tulip extending from a wavy, heavily-leafed stem. Small, shallow chip on top of spout. Small, in-the-firing contact mark / chip to shoulder. Very tight 4" line at base, continuing 2" onto underside, possibly in-the-firing. Small in-the-firing chip to edge of underside. Small contact mark to handle.
