Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a boldly-brushed cobalt tulip flanked by swags. Approximately 5" H-shaped line and an approximately 3 1/4" spider line, both of which do not appear to extend through to interior. A few small rim chips. A chip to one handle. Staining to surface.
