Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, approximately one-gallon to one-and-a-half-gallon cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and back with a series of large brushed cobalt leaves. Includes old wooden lid. Very nice color. Excellent condition with minor wear to the end of one handle and a few extremely tiny nicks to bottom edge of rim.
